• Measurement of spin correlation coefficients p-$^{3}$He scattering at 65 MeV

  We performed the experiment of p–$^{3}$He scattering at 65 MeV by using polarized proton beams and the newly constructed polarized $^{3}$He target. The proton analyzing power $A_{y}$, the 3He analyzing power $A^{T}_{y}$, and the spin correlation coefficient $C_{yy}$ were measured. In the conference, the experimental data were compared with the rigorous numerical calculations based on various nuclear potentials. Large discrepancies between the experimental data and the calculations were found in the $A^{T}_{y}$ and the $C_{yy}$ at the backward angles.

  The xSPDE toolbox treats stochastic partial and ordinary differential equations, with applications in biology, chemistry, engineering, medicine, physics and quantum technologies. It computes statistical averages, including time-step and/or sampling error estimation. xSPDE can provide higher order convergence, Fourier spectra and probability densities. The toolbox has graphical output and $\chi^{2}$ statistics, as well as weighted, projected, or forward-backward equations. It can generate input-output quantum spectra. All equations may have independent periodic, Dirichlet, and Neumann or Robin boundary conditions in any dimension, for any vector field component, and at either end of any interval.

• EUSO-SPB2: A sub-orbital cosmic ray and neutrino multi-messenger pathfinder observatory

  The next generation of ultra-high energy cosmic ray (UHECR) and very-high energy neutrino observatories will address the challenge of the extremely low fluxes of these particles at the highest energies. EUSO-SPB2 (Extreme Universe Space Observatory on a Super Pressure Balloon 2) is designed to prepare space missions to address this challenge. EUSO-SPB2 is equipped with 2 telescopes: the Fluorescence Telescope, which will point downwards and measure fluorescence emission from UHECR air showers with an energy above 2 EeV, and the Cherenkov Telescope (CT), which will point towards the Earth's limb and measure direct Cherenkov emission from cosmic rays with energies above 1 PeV verifying the technique. Pointed below the limb, the CT will search for Cherenkov emission produced by neutrino-sourced tau-lepton decays above 10 PeV energies and study backgrounds for such events. The EUSO-SPB2 mission will provide pioneering observations and technical milestones on the path towards a space-based multi-messenger observatory.

  We introduce the SmoQyDEAC.jl package, a Julia implementation of the Differential Evolution Analytic Continuation (DEAC) algorithm [N. S. Nichols et al., Phys. Rev. E 106, 025312 (2022)] for analytically continuing noisy imaginary time correlation functions to the real frequency axis. Our implementation supports fermionic and bosonic correlation functions on either the imaginary time or Matsubara frequency axes, and treatment of the covariance error in the input data. This paper presents an overview of the DEAC algorithm and the features implemented in the SmoQyDEAC.jl package. It also provides detailed benchmarks of the package's output against the popular maximum entropy and stochastic analytic continuation methods. The code for this package can be downloaded from our GitHub repository at https://github.com/SmoQySuite/SmoQyDEAC.jl or installed using the Julia package manager. The online documentation, including examples, can be accessed at https://smoqysuite.github.io/SmoQyDEAC.jl/stable/.

• Non-unitarity maximizing unraveling of open quantum dynamics

  The dynamics of many-body quantum states in open systems is commonly numerically simulated by unraveling the density matrix into pure-state trajectories. In this work, we introduce a new unraveling strategy that can adaptively minimize the averaged entanglement in the trajectory states. This enables a more efficient classical representation of trajectories using matrix product decompositions. Our new approach is denoted non-unitarity maximizing unraveling (NUMU). It relies on the idea that adaptively maximizing the averaged non-unitarity of a set of Kraus operators leads to a more efficient trajectory entanglement destruction. Compared to other adaptive entanglement lowering algorithms, NUMU is computationally inexpensive. We demonstrate its utility in large-scale simulations with random quantum circuits. NUMU lowers runtimes in practical calculations, and it also provides new insight on the question of classical simulability of quantum dynamics. We show that for the quantum circuits considered here, unraveling methods are much less efficient than full matrix product density operator simulations, hinting to a still large potential for finding more advanced adaptive unraveling schemes.

• Spin-lattice couplings and effect of displacements on magnetic interactions of a skyrmion system PdFe/Ir(111)

  PdFe/Ir(111) has attracted tremendous attention for next-generation spintronics devices due to existence of magnetic skyrmions with the external magnetic field. Our density functional theoretical calculations in combination with spin dynamics simulation suggest that the spin spiral phase in fcc stacked PdFe/Ir(111) flips into the skyrmion lattice phase around B$_{ext} \sim$ 6 T. This leads to the microscopic understanding of the thermodynamic and kinetic behaviours affected by the intrinsic spin-lattice couplings (SLCs) in this skyrmion material for magneto-mechanical properties. Here we calculate fully relativistic SLC parameters from first principle computations and investigate the effect of SLC on dynamical magnetic interactions in skyrmion multilayers PdFe/Ir(111). The exchange interactions arising from next nearest-neighbors (NN) in this material are highly frustrated and responsible for enhancing skyrmion stability. We report the larger spin-lattice effect on both dynamical Heisenberg exchanges and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions for next NN compared to NN which is in contrast with recently observed spin-lattice effect in bulk bcc Fe and CrI$_3$ monolayer. Based on our analysis, we find that the effective measures of SLCs in fcc (hcp) stacking of PdFe/Ir(111) are $\sim 2.71 ( \sim 2.36)$ and $\sim 14.71 ( \sim21.89)$ times stronger for NN and next NN respectively, compared to bcc Fe. The linear regime of displacement for SLC parameters is $≤$ 0.02 Å which is 0.72% of the lattice constant for PdFe/Ir(111). The microscopic understanding of SLCs provided by our current study could help in designing spintronic devices based on thermodynamic properties of skyrmion multilayers.

• NLO electroweak and QCD corrections to off-shell ttW production at the LHC

  The foreseen luminosities for the next LHC runs will enable precise differential measurements of the associated production of top-antitop pairs with a W boson. Therefore, providing accurate theory predictions for this process is needed for realistic final states. We present the first combination of NLO electroweak and QCD corrections to off-shell ttW$^+$ production in the three-charged-lepton channel, including non-resonant effects, full spin-correlations and interferences. Such radiative corrections comprise the electroweak and QCD corrections to the leading QCD order, and the QCD corrections to the leading electroweak order.

• PineAPPL: NLO EW corrections for PDF processes

  Modern parton distribution function (PDF) determinations either neglect higher-order corrections in the electroweak (EW) coupling or implement them approximately for a subset of PDF processes. We present a new tool, PineAPPL, which supports perturbative correction in arbitrary powers of the EW and strong coupling constant, and stores theoretical predictions independently of the used PDFs in so-called interpolation grids. These are the foundation of any PDF determination, and will allow us to perform a PDF fit taking into account EW corrections for all processes consistently. Apart from PDF determinations PineAPPL can also be used in precision phenomenology to study the impact of different choices of PDF sets, without rerunning the time-consuming computation. As an application of this tool we show Drell-Yan (DY) lepton-pair production were larger effects of NLO EW corrections can be seen that will potentially influence the PDF fit and comment about which observables are particularly suited and NLO EW PDF fit and which are not.

• Flux-tunable hybridization in a double quantum dot interferometer

  Quantum interference of electron tunneling occurs in any system where multiple tunneling paths connect states. This unavoidably arises in two-dimensional semiconducting qubit arrays, and must be controlled as a prerequisite for the manipulation and readout of hybrid topological and parity qubits. Studying a loop formed by two quantum dots, we demonstrate a magnetic-flux-tunable hybridization between two electronic levels, an irreducibly simple system where quantum interference is expected to occur. Using radio-frequency reflectometry of the dots’ gate electrodes we extract an interdot coupling exhibiting oscillations with a periodicity of one flux quantum. In different tunneling regimes we benchmark the oscillations’ contrast, and find their amplitude varies with the charge state of the quantum dots. These results establish the feasibility and limitations of parity readout of qubits with tunnel couplings tuned by flux.

• Nuclear matter effects on jet production at electron-ion colliders

  In these proceedings we report recent progress on understanding hadron and jet production in electron-nucleus collisions at the future Electron-Ion Collider [1,2]. These processes will play an essential role in the exploration of the partonic structure of nuclei and the study of parton shower evolution in strongly-interacting matter. We employ the framework of soft-collinear effective theory, generalized to include in-medium interactions, to present the first theoretical results for inclusive hadron and jet cross sections, as well as the jet charge modification in deep inelastic scattering on nuclei. We further demonstrate how to separate initial-state and final-state effects.
