• The impact of ATLAS $V$+jet measurements on PDF fits

  The production of $W$/$Z$-bosons in association with jets is an important test of perturbative QCD predictions and also yields information about the parton distribution functions of the proton. We present fits to determine PDFs using inclusive $W$/$Z$-boson and $W$/$Z$+jets measurements from the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. The ATLAS measurements are used in combination with deep-inelastic scattering data from HERA. An improved determination of the sea-quark densities at high Bjorken-$x$ is seen, while confirming a strange-quark density similar in size to the up- and down-sea-quark densities in the range $x<0.02$ found by previous ATLAS analyses.

• Knowledge-dependent optimal Gaussian strategies for phase estimation

  When estimating an unknown phase rotation of a continuous-variable system with homodyne detection, the optimal probe state strongly depends on the value of the estimated parameter. In this article, we identify the optimal pure single-mode Gaussian probe states depending on the knowledge of the estimated phase parameter before the measurement. We find that for a large prior uncertainty, the optimal probe states are close to coherent states, a result in line with findings from noisy parameter estimation. However, with increasingly precise estimates of the parameter, it becomes beneficial to put more of the available energy into the squeezing of the probe state. Surprisingly, there is a clear jump, where the optimal probe state changes abruptly to a squeezed vacuum state, which maximizes the Fisher information for this estimation task. We use our results to study repeated measurements and compare different methods to adapt the probe state based on the changing knowledge of the parameter according to the previous findings.

• Locality and conserved charges in $T\overline{T}$-deformed CFTs

  We investigate the locality properties of $T \overline T$-deformed CFTs within perturbation theory. Up to third order in the deformation parameter, we find a Hamiltonian operator which solves the flow equation, reproduces the $T\overline T$ energy spectrum, and is consistent with quasi-locality of the theory. This Hamiltonian includes terms proportional to the central charge which have not appeared before and which are necessary to reproduce the correct spectrum. We show that the Hamiltonian is not uniquely defined since it contains free parameters, starting at second order, which do not spoil the above properties. We then use it to determine the full conserved stress tensor. In our approach, the KdV charges are automatically conserved to all orders but are not a priori local. Nevertheless, we show that they can be made local to first order. Our techniques allow us to further comment on the space of Hamiltonians constructed from products of KdV charges which also flow to local charges in the deformed theory in the IR.

• Determination of $α_{S}$ beyond $NNLO$ using the event shape averages

  In this proceedings we discuss a prescription to extract the QCD strong coupling constant at $N^{3}LO$ precision in perturbative QCD using a combination of ${\cal{O}}(\alpha_{S}^{3})$ calculations in pQCD and estimations of the ${\cal{O}}(\alpha_{S}^{4})$ corrections from the data. The method is applied to a set of event shape averages measured in experiments at the LEP, PETRA, PEP and TRISTAN colliders. In our analysis we account for hadronization effects with models from modern Monte Carlo event generators and analytic hadronization models. We conclude that the precision of the $\alpha_{S}$ extraction cannot be improved significantly only with pQCD predictions of higher orders, and further progress in these studies requires a significant advances in the studies and modeling of hadronization process.

• The importance of multiple scatterings in medium-induced gluon radiation

  In this work we disentangle the underlying physical picture of the in-medium gluon radiation process across its different energy regimes by comparing the recently obtained fully-resummed -- without any further approximations -- BDMPS-Z in-medium emission spectrum with the extensively used analytical approaches. We observe that in the high-energy regime the radiation process is dominated by a single hard scattering, while in the intermediate-energy region coherence effects among multiple scatterings are crucial. Finally, we prove that in the low-energy regime the dynamics is again controlled by a single scattering but where one must include a suppression factor accounting for the probability of not having any further scatterings.

• Locality of topological dynamics in Chern insulators

  A system having macroscopic patches in different topological phases has no well-defined global topological invariant. To treat such a case, the quantities labeling different areas of the sample according to their topological state are used, dubbed local topological markers. Here we study their dynamics. We concentrate on two quantities, namely the local Chern marker and the on-site charge induced by an applied magnetic field. The first one provides the correct information about the system's topological properties, the second can be readily measured in experiment. We demonstrate that the time-dependent local Chern marker is a much more non-local object than the equilibrium one. Surprisingly, large samples driven out of equilibrium lead to a simple description of the local Chern marker's dynamics by a local continuity equation. Also, we argue that the connection between the local Chern marker and magnetic-field induced charge known in static holds out of equilibrium in some experimentally relevant systems as well. This gives a clear physical description of the marker's evolution and provides a simple recipe for experimental estimation of the topological marker's value.

• Local investigation of the crystal electric field ground-state in CeCu(Sb,Bi)$_2$ heavy fermions

  In this work, we performed systematic Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and magnetic susceptibility experiments in CeCuSb$_2$ single-crystals. The main findings were compared to previous report for CeCuBi$_2$. The NMR spectra and transferred hyperfine coupling for the $^{63}$Cu nuclei were obtained aiming to observe their correlation with the crystal electric field (CEF) effects on the Ce$^{3+}$ ($J=5/2$) multiplet. Besides, in an attempt to elucidate the magnetic structure through NMR measurements at different magnetic fields orientations, we observed a magnetic transition at $T\approx 8\,$K higher than the Néel temperature $T_N$ measured by magnetic susceptibility indicating the development of short-range magnetic ordering above T$_N$. In addition, the wipe out of the main NMR resonance line and a persistent spin-echo signal throughout the whole frequency-swept range suggest the possibility of an incommensurate magnetic structure in CeCuSb$_2$. Furthermore, the small transferred hyperfine coupling constant found for CeCuSb$_2$ indicates a scenario with more localized Ce$^{3+}$ 4f electrons than for CeMIn$_5$ (M $=$ Co,Rh,Ir) heavy fermions family. Additionally, subtle changes in the hybridization between the $^{63}$Cu with the 4f$^1$ Ce$^{3+}$ electrons in distinct magnetic field orientations allowed us to provide detailed information and map out the 4f CEF orbital ground-state of CeCu(Sb,Bi)$_2$ via NMR measurements.

• Towards the computation of inclusive decay rates using lattice QCD

  We present a non-perturbative computation of inclusive rates of semileptonic decays of heavy mesons from lattice QCD simulations. The calculation is based on the extraction of smeared spectral functions obtained from four-point Euclidean correlation functions computed on configuration ensembles of the JLQCD and ETM collaborations. We compare our results for the inclusive decay rates with analytical predictions from the operator-product expansion, finding a good agreement for the calculation of the inclusive decay rate. This opens the path to the theoretical determination of the magnitude of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $V_{cb}$ to a level of precision competitive with the present experimental uncertainty.

• Random matrices and the free energy of Ising-like models with disorder

  We consider an Ising model with quenched surface disorder, the disorder average of the free energy is the main object of interest. Explicit expressions for the free energy distribution are difficult to obtain if the quenched surface spins take values of $± 1$. Thus, we choose a different approach and model the surface disorder by Gaussian random matrices. The distribution of the free energy is calculated. We chose skew-circulant random matrices and analytically compute the characteristic function of the free energy distribution. From the characteristic function we numerically calculate the distribution and show that it becomes log-normal for sufficiently large dimensions of the disorder matrices, and in the limit of infinitely large matrices tends to a Gaussian. Furthermore, we establish a connection to the central limit theorem.

• Top quark mass corrections to single and double Higgs boson production in gluon fusion

  In this talk we discuss recent computations of the top quark mass dependence of QCD amplitudes describing Higgs boson production in gluon fusion. We compute terms in the expansion for a large top quark mass, which reduces the Feynman diagrams to products of massless integrals and massive tadpole integrals which contain the top mass dependence. In particular we discuss the real and virtual corrections to double Higgs production at NNLO, and the virtual corrections to single Higgs production at N3LO.
