• Study of the hyperon-nucleon interaction via final-state interactions in exclusive reactions

  A novel approach that allows access to long-sought information on the Hyperon-Nucleon (YN) interaction was developed by producing a hyperon beam within a few-body nuclear system, and studying final-state interactions. The determination of polarisation observables, and specifically the beam spin asymmetry, in exclusive reactions allows a detailed study of the various final-state interactions and provides us with the tools needed to isolate kinematic regimes where the YN interaction dominates. High-statistics data collected using the CLAS detector housed in Hall-B of the Thomas Jefferson laboratory allows us to obtain a large set of polarisation observables and place stringent constraints on the underlying dynamics of the YN interaction.

• Acceleration from a clustering environment

  We study the effects of correlations in a random environment on a random walker. The dependence of its asymptotic speed on the correlations is a nonperturbative effect as it is not captured by a homogeneous version of the same environment. For a slowly cooling environment, the buildup of correlations modifies the walker's speed and, by so, realizes acceleration. We remark on the possible relevance in the discussion of cosmic acceleration as traditionally started from the Friedmann equations, which, from a statistical mechanical point of view, would amount to a mean-field approximation. Our environment is much simpler though, with transition rates sampled from the one-dimensional Ising model and allowing exact results and detailed velocity characteristics.

• Forward trijet production and saturation

  We present a multi-parton extension of the so-called small-$\boldsymbol{x}$ Improved Transverse Momentum Dependent (ITMD) factorization for hadroproduction of three or more jets in the forward rapidity region, allowing to study gluon saturation using such processes.

• Beyond-mean-field analysis of the Townes soliton and its breathing mode

  By using the Bogoliubov perturbation theory we describe the self-bound ground state and excited breathing states of $N$ two-dimensional bosons with zero-range attractive interactions. Our results for the ground state energy $B_N$ and size $R_N$ improve previously known large-$N$ asymptotes and we better understand the crossover to the few-body regime. The breathing oscillations, absent at the mean-field level, result from the quantum-mechanical breaking of the mean-field scale symmetry. The breathing-mode frequency scales as $\Omega\propto |B_N|/\sqrt{N}$ at large $N$.

• Recent Studies of Exotic Hadrons at the LHCb Experiment

  Recent results on studies of exotic hadrons at the LHCb experiment are summarised. These are the observation of new resonances decaying to J/$\psi K^{+}$ and J/$\psi\phi$, evidence of a J/$\psi\Lambda$ structure and observation of excited $\Xi^{-}$ states in the $\Xi_{b}^{-}\to J/\psi \Lambda K^{-}$ decay and the study of $B_{s}^{0}\to J/\psi\pi^{+}\pi^{-}K^{+}K^{-}$ decays.

• Exotic structures in exotic nuclei

  Nuclei with proton and neutron numbers away from stability are known as exotic, and provide stringent tests of nuclear models, mainly developed for the description of stable nuclei. However, only the most extreme combinations lead to literally exotic structures, with sometimes unexpected properties. In this contribution we review some selected examples around the neutron dripline of very light elements: neutron halo structures with embedded substructures in the boron chain; the emission of neutron pairs in $^{16}$Be; and the existence of multi-neutron resonances in `superheavy' hydrogen isotopes.

• Super-resolving normalising flows for lattice field theories

  We propose a renormalisation group inspired normalising flow that combines benefits from traditional Markov chain Monte Carlo methods and standard normalising flows to sample lattice field theories. Specifically, we use samples from a coarse lattice field theory and learn a stochastic map to the targeted fine theory. The devised architecture allows for systematic improvements and efficient sampling on lattices as large as $128 × 128$ in all phases when only having sampling access on a $4× 4$ lattice. This paves the way for reaping the benefits of traditional MCMC methods on coarse lattices while using normalising flows to learn transformations towards finer grids, aligning nicely with the intuition of super-resolution tasks. Moreover, by optimising the base distribution, this approach allows for further structural improvements besides increasing the expressivity of the model.

  The increasing statistical significance of the DAMA/LIBRA annual modulation signal is a cause for tension in the field of dark matter direct detection. The COSINUS experiment aims at a model-independent cross-check of the DAMA/LIBRA signal claim, using NaI crystals operated as cryogenic scintillating calorimeters at millikelvin temperatures. Such a setup enables measurement of phonon and scintillation light signals via Transition Edge Sensors (TESs) and allows particle discrimination on an event-by-event basis. The non-standard properties of NaI cause an obstacle when attaching a TES directly onto the surface of the crystal. This can be overcome with the ``remoTES'' design, where the TES is attached to an external wafer crystal. We present the results from a first successful operation of NaI and other crystals as cryogenic calorimeters with the remoTES design.

• Dark matter or millisecond pulsars? A deep learning-based analysis of the Fermi Galactic Centre Excess

  The $\gamma$-ray Galactic Centre Excess (GCE) remains one of the few observed high-energy signals for which a dark matter (DM) origin is a plausible explanation. We present a deep learning-based analysis of the $\gamma$-ray sky in the Galactic Centre region, carefully accounting for the mathematical degeneracy between faint point-sources (PSs) such as millisecond pulsars (MSPs) and DM-like Poisson emission. Using recent models for the Galactic foregrounds, we find that relatively few bright PSs just below Fermi's detection threshold seem unlikely to explain the GCE, although we continue to find evidence for PSs. Looking ahead, further improvements in the modelling of the $\gamma$-ray sky will be crucial for distinguishing between a DM-like and point-like morphology of the signal.

• Tau data-based evaluations of the hadronic vacuum polarization contribution to the muon g-2

  We review the $\tau$ data-driven computation of Euclidean windows for the hadronic vacuum polarization contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment ($a_\mu$), which agree with the lattice results, making the difference of the $e^+e^-$ data-driven methods with them more intriguing. This conundrum needs to be solved by next year, when the final FNAL $a_\mu$ measurement will be published, in order to extract firm conclusions on possible new physics effects.
