Sivers asymmetry in inelastic $J/ψ$ leptoproduction at the EIC

We study the Sivers asymmetry in inelastic $J/\psi$ leptoproduction, $ep^\uparrow \to e+ J/\psi+X$, within a transverse momentum dependent scheme, the so-called generalized parton model (GPM). The effects of final-state interactions are properly taken into account by employing the color-gauge invariant GPM (CGI-GPM). For the $J/\psi$ formation the non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) framework is adopted. Predictions for unpolarized cross sections and maximized Sivers asymmetries at EIC energies are given.

We have scrutinized the transverse momentum dependent quark-gluon-quark correlation function. We have utilized the light-front quark-diquark model to study the time-reversal-odd interaction-dependent twist-3 gluon distributions which we have obtained from the disintegration of the transverse momentum dependent quark-gluon-quark correlator. Specifically, we have studied the behavior of $\tilde{e}_{L}$ and $\tilde{e}_{T}$ while considering our diquark to be an axial-vector.
Diffractive dissociation in future electron-ion colliders

We study diffractive scattering cross sections, focusing on the rapidity gap distribution in realistic kinematics at future electron-ion colliders. Our study consists in numerical solutions of the QCD evolution equations in both fixed and running coupling frameworks. The fixed and the running coupling equations are shown to lead to different shapes for the rapidity gap distribution. The obtained distribution when the coupling is fixed exhibits a shape characteristic of a recently developed model for diffractive dissociation, which indicates the relevance of the study of that diffractive observable for the partonic-level understanding of diffraction.
Gluon saturation in proton and its contribution to single inclusive soft gluon production in high energy proton-nucleus collisions

The leading order single inclusive soft gluon production in high energy proton-nucleus (pA) collisions has been studied by various approaches for more than two decades. The first correction due to the gluon saturation in proton was analytically attempted recently through a diagrammatic approach in which only partial results were obtained. An important feature of the first saturation correction is that it includes both initial state and final state interactions. In this paper, we present the complete result derived from the Color Glass Condensate framework. Our approach is to analytically solve the classical Yang-Mills equations in the dilute-dense regime and then use the Lehmann-Symanzik-Zimmermann (LSZ) reduction formula to obtain gluon production from classical gluon fields.
Development of the ATLAS Liquid Argon Calorimeter Readout Electronics for the HL-LHC

The full ATLAS Liquid Argon Calorimeter electronic readout chain will be upgraded for the high-luminosity LHC. The upgrade is designed to withstand the expected radiation level and to be compatible with the Phase-I Digital Trigger System which is being installed right now. Analogue electronics shape and amplify the calorimeter signals before they are digitized with 16 bit dynamic range on two gain scales. The on-detector system samples the calorimeter cell signals at 40 MHz and sends them to the off-detector electronics which apply digital processing based on FPGAs. Photoproduction of diffractive dijets in Pythia 8

The new framework for the simulations of hard diffractive events in photoproduction within Pythia 8 is presented. The model, originally introduced for proton-proton collisions, applies the dynamical rapidity gap survival probability based on the multiparton interaction model in Pythia. These additional interactions provide a natural explanation for the observed factorization-breaking effects in hard diffraction by filling up the rapidity gaps used to classify the events of diffractive origin. The generated cross sections are well in line with the existing data from HERA experiments and predictions for the future electron-ion collider are presented. In addition, also predictions for ultra-peripheral collisions at the LHC have been calculated where the factorization-breaking effects are found to be more pronounced.
Measurement of the $t\bar{t}t\bar{t}$ production at 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector at the LHC

Two measurements and their combination for the $t\bar{t}t\bar{t}$ production cross-section analysis using 139 fb$^{-1}$ of proton$-$proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC are presented. The first analysis uses the final states with either one or two opposite-sign leptons (electrons or muons). In the second analysis the final states with either two same-sign or at least three leptons are considered. With an observed (expected) significance of 4.3 (2.4) standard deviations over the background-only hypothesis, the second analysis provides the first evidence for the $t\bar{t}t\bar{t}$ process. No significant deviations from the Standard Model are observed.
Anomalous coupling studies with forward protons at the LHC

We describe the gain on sensitivities to quartic $\gamma \gamma \gamma \gamma$, $\gamma \gamma WW$ and $\gamma \gamma \gamma Z$ anomalous couplings and to the search for Axion-Like Particles by two or three orders of magnitude with respect to standard methods at the LHC by tagging intact protons in the final state.
