• Trapping effects in quantum atomic arrays

  Quantum emitters, particularly atomic arrays with subwavelength lattice constant, have been proposed to be an ideal platform for studying the interplay between photons and electric dipoles. In this work, motivated by the recent experiment [1], we develop a microscopic quantum treatment using annihilation and creation operator of atoms in deep optical lattices. Using a diagrammatic approach on the Keldysh contour, we derive the cooperative scattering of the light and obtain the general formula for the $S$ matrix. We apply our method to study the trapping effect, which is beyond previous treatment with spin operators. If the optical lattices are formed by light fields with magical wavelength, the result matches previous results using spin operators. When there is a mismatch between the trapping potentials for atoms in the ground state and the excited state, atomic mirrors become imperfect, with multiple resonances in the optical response. We further study the effect of recoil for large but finite trapping frequency. Our results are consistent with existing experiments.

• First indication on self-similarity of strangeness production in Au+Au collisions at RHIC: Search for signature of phase transition in nuclear matter

  New results of analysis of $K^0_S-$meson spectra measured over a wide range of energy $\sqrt {s_{NN}}=7.7-200$ GeV and centrality in $Au+Au$ collisions by the STAR Collaboration at RHIC using the $z$-scaling approach are presented. Indication on self-similarity of fractal structure of nuclei and fragmentation processes with $K^0_S$ probe is demonstrated. The energy loss as a function of the collision energy, centrality and transverse momentum of the inclusive strange meson is estimated.

• Magic phase transition and non-local complexity in generalized W State

  We employ the Stabilizer Rényi Entropy (SRE) to characterize a quantum phase transition that has so far eluded any standard description and can thus now be explained in terms of the interplay between its non-stabilizer properties and entanglement. The transition under consideration separates a region with a unique ground state from one with a degenerate ground state manifold spanned by states with finite and opposite (intensive) momenta. We show that SRE has a jump at the crossing points, while the entanglement entropy remains continuous. Moreover, by leveraging a Clifford circuit mapping, we connect the observed jump in SRE to that occurring between standard and generalized $W$-states with finite momenta. This mapping allows us to quantify the SRE discontinuity analytically.

• Collective dynamics of heavy ion collisions in ATLAS

  The latest measurements of collective behaviour in a variety of collision systems with the ATLAS detector at the LHC, including pp collisions at 13 TeV, Xe+Xe collisions at 5.44 TeV, and Pb+Pb collisions at 5.02 TeV, are presented. They include vn-[pT] correlations, which carry important information about the initial-state geometry of the quark-gluon plasma and can shed light on any quadrupole deformation in the Xe nucleus, and measurements of flow decorrelations differential in rapidity, which probe the longitudinal structure of the colliding system. These measurements furthermore provide stringent tests of the theoretical understanding of the initial state in heavy ion collisions.

• Quantum chaos in a harmonic waveguide with scatterers

  A set of zero-range scatterers along its axis lifts the integrability of a harmonic waveguide. Effective solution of the Schrödinger equation for this model is possible due to the separable nature of the scatterers and millions of eigenstates can be calculated using modest computational resources. Integrability-chaos transition can be explored as the model chaoticity increases with the number of scatterers and their strengths. The regime of complete quantum chaos and eigenstate thermalization can be approached with 32 scatterers. This is confirmed by properties of energy spectra, the inverse participation ratio, and fluctuations of observable expectation values.

• Physics motivation and detector upgrades for the new era of the ATLAS experiment

  The ATLAS experiment at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will be upgraded in two stages to prepare first for the Run 3 data-taking campaign, during which the integrated luminosity will roughly double, and then for the High-Luminosity LHC program with an ultimate integrated luminosity of up to 4 ab-1. These upgrades and high-statistics datasets will allow ATLAS to perform searches and precision measurements to constrain the Standard Model in yet-unexplored phase spaces and in the Higgs sector. This contribution summarizes the ATLAS detector upgrades and selected physics prospects for Run 3 and the HL-LHC.

• Sea Asymmetry from Polarized W Boson Production

  We present the results of a global QCD analysis of helicity parton distribution functions (PDFs) that includes the latest polarized W-lepton production data from the STAR collaboration at the Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider (RHIC). This data allows the first extraction of a nonzero helicity light-quark sea asymmetry within a simultaneous global QCD analysis of unpolarized and helicity PDFs.

• Quark Sivers Function at Small-$x$: Leading contribution from the Spin-Dependent Odderon

  We present the calculation of the leading contribution to the quark Sivers function at small-Bjorken $x$. This calculation uses the high energy scattering approximation and operator formalism developed by Kovchegov and Sievert to obtain a dominant contribution to the quark Sivers function coming from the spin-dependent odderon, in agreement with the results of Dong, Zhen, and Zhou. We then calculate this dominant contribution in the diquark model of the proton to obtain a small-$x$ estimate for the Sivers function.

• Recent Studies of Exotic Hadrons at the LHCb Experiment

  Recent results on studies of exotic hadrons at the LHCb experiment are summarised. These are the observation of new resonances decaying to J/$\psi K^{+}$ and J/$\psi\phi$, evidence of a J/$\psi\Lambda$ structure and observation of excited $\Xi^{-}$ states in the $\Xi_{b}^{-}\to J/\psi \Lambda K^{-}$ decay and the study of $B_{s}^{0}\to J/\psi\pi^{+}\pi^{-}K^{+}K^{-}$ decays.

• Extending the planar theory of anyons to quantum wire networks

  The braiding of the worldlines of particles restricted to move on a network (graph) is governed by the graph braid group, which can be strikingly different from the standard braid group known from two-dimensional physics. It has been recently shown that imposing the compatibility of graph braiding with anyon fusion for anyons exchanging at a single wire junction leads to new types of anyon models with the braiding exchange operators stemming from solutions of certain generalised hexagon equations. In this work, we establish these graph-braided anyon fusion models for general wire networks. We show that the character of braiding strongly depends on the graph-theoretic connectivity of the given network. In particular, we prove that triconnected networks yield the same braiding exchange operators as the planar anyon models. In contrast, modular biconnected networks support independent braiding exchange operators in different modules. Consequently, such modular networks may lead to more efficient topological quantum computer circuits. Finally, we conjecture that the graph-braided anyon fusion models will possess the (generalised) coherence property where certain polygon equations determine the braiding exchange operators for an arbitrary number of anyons. We also extensively study solutions to these polygon equations for chosen low-rank multiplicity-free fusion rings, including the Ising theory, quantum double of $\mathbb{Z}_{2}$, and Tambara-Yamagami models. We find numerous solutions that do not appear in the planar theory of anyons.
